Pair it with an artful duster and boots for cooler weather or sandals and a raffia bag for the summer months, the Wildwood is chic all year long. I feel it lands somewhere between “chic art gallery owner” and “side trip to Barcelona,” which is exactly what I wanted apparently. The fit is great, there is ample coverage and the dress is comfortable but somehow still manages to make you feel stunning. The pattern includes a facing for the skirt which requires extra steps but provides an elegant hem finish, inside and out.Īnd these pockets - they are not just for show!īut the best thing about this dress is what happens when you put it on. The skirt in version A is a little less voluminous than other wrap dresses, which I like, and features a delightful high-low hem. The belt is stunning on its own and provides a nice focal point for the dress. The way the neckline facing is created is really unique - always love the little surprises from this designer! The bodice includes pleats at the center front waist to manage bulk and provide shaping for the wrap elements as well as cut-on sleeves, which I love. ![]() I was probably first drawn to the neckline of this dress, which features a shallow and soft shawl-type collar. I find that all the designs from Sew House 7 are a good fit for my design tastes - feminine and unique but not overly romantic - and the Wildwood Wrap Dress is no different.
